Saturday, July 15th, 2006Following my recent invitation to the oink community, I’m consistently low on disk space these days. I’ve now paid the price for running on empty. I tried adding a few more photos of my gf to my iPhoto Library and ran out of space. Now my library is corrupt and I can’t rebuild it. I don’t have a recent backup, so I’m back to square one. The thought of retagging nearly 4000 photos makes me want to puke. Untold metadata and albums, up in smoke.
No more. Fuck that shit. There’s got to be a better way. Lightroom Beta? Too immature Aperture?? Too expensive. Tagging the pics with Spotlight metadata and using smart folders??? Primitive, but maybe the best option yet.
