He trusts me
Saturday, September 30th, 2006Jurvis asked me to post to his blog. Here goes ( First time)
My coffee addiction started when I was 10 years old. My mom worked second shift in a hospital. In the morning, I would bring her a cup of coffee. I started tasting it so that it would be perfect. She rewarded me with the most beautiful of smiles.
By the time I was a paratrooper in the 82cd Airborne my addiction was full blown. I would pack a thermos full of Mississippi Mud for early morning jumps. While I hid in the woods near the assembly point, I would secretly drink my coffee. All around me I would hear mumblings, grumblings. Others wanted my coffee- but NO, I didn’t share.
On Jan 5th, 1980, I went to the doctor to confirm my suspected pregnancy. He said the fetus was the size of a kidney bean- yes Jurvis once was the size of a kidney bean. Perhaps if I had gone to the doctor two weeks earlier he would have said that the fetus was the size of a coffee bean.
While pregnant I limited myself to two cups of coffee a day. On the upside is that I remember very little of my pregnancies- Ha ha- I wish. Once Jurvis kicked me in my anal sphincter from the inside. They should use that description in the dictionary to describe intense pain.
Jurvis and Adrianne are off in the Minnesota woods. I hope they are keeping warm and will return safe and sound full of stories. They are much loved.
